Bringing Mallorca home
If you're feeling wanderlust after your vacation or if you didn't manage to go on vacation to Mallorca in the first place, it's a great idea to invite friends over for a Spanish evening and celebrate with them. This is a great opportunity to reminisce and talk about past vacations on the Mediterranean island. In true Spanish style, there is fiery music and cold drinks. In Spain, and Mallorca in particular, people know how to celebrate nightlife, meet up and simply enjoy life. With the right decorations and delicious specialties, an atmosphere is created at home in which the Spanish way of life and culture can come to life.
The colors of Mallorca: red and money
To create the right atmosphere, the table decorations should definitely be in keeping with Mallorca. With the colors of the national flag in red and yellow, the right mood is created immediately. Tablecloths, napkins, garlands, lanterns and balloons are suitable for this. If you prefer something more subtle, limit yourself to the napkins and decorate the table with matching lanterns or lanterns. If you have enough space, you can also set up garden torches, which create a very romantic atmosphere late in the evening. Another great idea is to print out map sections of Mallorca, preferably on sturdy paper, and place them on the table as placemats. Black and white printing is perfectly adequate. Then the placemats won't compete in color with the rest of the table decorations and it won't be too colorful and restless on the table.
It's best to mention in the invitation that it's a Mallorca party. This way, everyone can decide for themselves whether they want to wear something that matches the theme and perhaps get a nice and suitable gift. The table decorations can be easily combined with small vacation souvenirs, such as castanets, fans or similar items. Comfortable garden furniture is available at https://garten-und-freizeit.de so that guests can sit comfortably. Then nothing stands in the way of a long night in Mallorcan style.
The right food for a Mallorcan evening
In Mallorca, wine is usually served with dinner. It is therefore appropriate to set the table with long-stemmed wine glasses. To make it truly Mallorcan, a Mallorcan or at least a Spanish wine should accompany the meal. Sangria, a punch-like drink, is very typical. To make it, prepare red wine with the fruit the evening before and chill it.
Arroz brut, or "dirty rice", is very typical of Mallorca. This is a spicy dish with rice, meat and seasonal vegetables. Bondiola cooked in mustard sauce with potatoes is also very typical of Mallorca. It is accompanied by a trampó, a delicious salad with finely chopped tomatoes, onion and green bell pepper seasoned with oil and salt. The salad is simple, very tasty and very refreshing on a warm summer evening.
Cremadillos are a typical sweet pastry that makes a great dessert. These are delicate pieces of puff pastry with a custard filling.
Tapas are also ideal for a Mallorcan evening. There are countless variations of these small dishes. They can accompany the whole evening and serve as a midnight snack late at night. They can also be the main course. As there are also warm versions, such as meatballs with a delicious sauce, everyone can eat their fill.
So guests are happy to stay a little longer
In addition to the food, the drinks also play an important role. In addition to a good red wine with your meal, there are many other drinks that are also very popular in Germany, such as a delicious sherry, wine spritzer or cocktail. When it comes to beer, preferences often vary widely. Nevertheless, beer is also a popular drink for social gatherings on Mallorca and is of course a must at a Mallorca party. If you would like to offer a typical Mallorcan beer, you are sure to find a large selection of different types on the internet. Guests can help themselves to the tapas, which are either placed on the table or deliciously arranged on a buffet, throughout the evening. They still look delicious after a few hours on the buffet.
The music should also fit
During the meal, beautiful, romantic background music, such as guitar sounds, is suitable. Later, there will be hot party rhythms to dance the night away in Spanish style. Flamenco is typical of Spain and Mallorca. But current pop music also fits very well, such as music by Shakira, Enrique Iglesias, Ricky Martin or, if you like it, you can also play the popular Ballermann hits. A karaoke show could then be the highlight of the party, making sure there's never a dull moment.
Set a dress code?
Of course, a Mallorca party requires the right clothing. If it is still nice and warm or the ambience allows it, the dress code could simply be "summer outfit". The more daring can celebrate in swimwear.
Beachwear is also ideal for the Mallorca party. However, it makes sense to pay a little attention to the preferences of the guests. Not everyone feels comfortable in a beach outfit at a party.
